Gary posing between Ken's converted electric cars;
Sukuki Samari on the left and GMC mini-pickup truck on the right. We drove
both cars to and from the festival. A beautiful day!

Modified electric riding lawnmower with removed
parts lined up on the wall. This General Electric Elec-Trac mower was
produced in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The electronics and batteries
have been updated with modern components that require much less space than the
old components while providing better power.

Ken and Gary explaining how the Suzuki was
converted. Many people were interested in how fast and far it can go, how
much it cost and generally what had to be done.

Ken pointing out the electric riding lawnmower
and the replaced electrical parts. We were impressed with the warm
reception and interest people had with the mower.
|

Ken describing the parts used to convert a former
gasoline car to battery power. People liked that these cars no longer
produce pollution and also are recycled themselves (instead of
ending up in a dump somewhere).
|

We had big crowds all day checking out the
converted vehicles. Several people told us that they were considering
buying or building electric conversions, and a few had already started
accumulating parts.
